Live-in Au Pair Housekeeper required for end July start

Location: Streatham, Sw London

I need a live-in Au Pair / Housekeep to start mid-end of July. Below is a detailed description of the family, the house and the job.

1. Very good english is required.
2. You need to beable to drive in London.
3. Minimum stay 6-12 months


The family
Richard Milner – works in book publishing and loves cooking, reading, wine and watching sport on TV.
Gillian Milner – works in advertising (for 3 days a week) and runs the house as a shoot location. She loves her sleep, seeing her friends, swimming and a calm, organised life.
Jack Milner – 4 years old and starts school in September. He loves his bike, animals, dinosaurs, pirates and reading
Lola Milner – nearly 2 years old (in September). She loves running around, giggling, reading books, tickling and “rough and tumble” with Jack.

The House
The house is run as a shoot location. This means that people come to the house to do magazine shoots, Television film shoots, advertising film shoots etc. They normally rent the house out for the whole day from 9am – 6pm. If it is a magazine shoot – it is very easy to be in the house at the same time. If it is a film shoot – it is more difficult because they record sound – so you can be in the house – but you have to be quiet!

A typical week
There is never a typical week because of the film/still shoots, but there is a childcare routine.
Until September when Jack goes to school.
Monday/Tuesday/Thursday :
7-8am – help get children ready for nursery. (Richard or Gillian drives them to nursery at 7.45am)
3.30 walk to nursery to pick up children at 4pm. Walk home with them, Jack on his bike, Lola walking or in the pram. Stop off in the park for swings etc. Snack, drink at 6ish. 6.30 bath time. One or both parents are normally back by 6.30pm and will take over then.
Wednesday: Help out in the morning when Gillian works from home. This can be flexible if au pairs needs to attend English class.
Friday: varies – maybe help out a bit
WEEKEND – Free time.
Babysitting: 2-3 nights a week

After September 4th.
Monday/Tuesday/Thursday:
7am – 9.30am. Get children ready for School/Nursery. Do breakfast at home. Drive Jack to school by 9am and then take Lola to Nursery afterwards.
3pm: Drive to pick Jack up after school and drive to pick Lola up from Nursery. Return home, snacks and any homework that Jack has to do. 6.30 bathtime etc.

House stuff
• Keep house clean and tidy (hovering carpet, mopping kitchen floor, dust/clean bathrooms/bedrooms/kitchen)
• All washing / ironing
• Wash and change bed sheets

Shoots
• Get house ready for shoots (neat, clean and tidy)
• Let the crew into the house/show them around, settle them into the house
• Do recce’s when required (Recce means to show someone round the house prior to a film shoot)

You will have your own bedroom with sofa/tv/dvd and your own bathroom.
