Hi, I'm Helen; Mum to a 9 year old girl and 3 (nearly 4) year old boy. My daughter is really laid back- she loves a cuddle. My son has ADHD and is hyper but oh so funny and is on treatment so is no more trouble than your usual 3 year old boy. Both are very loving children who like the company of adults. We live in the new builds off the Glenville Road in Whiteabbey. We are looking for a friendly laid back babysitter for regular work. Our house is comfy and relaxed. We don't care so much about experience because everyone has to start somewhere. We just want someone who is reliable, flexible and loves kids.

The cover we need is for me to attend local classes. These classes run Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs night and Saturday morning. I like to go to between 2 and 4 of them per week but it doesn't really matter which ones as long as our babysitter can cover some of them- you can choose the nights. At these times I'd only be away for 1 and a half hours each time. This is why this job would only be worthwhile to someone local who can nip round for an hour and a half and then go back home again.

Also occasional weekend babysitting required- mainly nights. When I do go out I stay out quite late so unfortunately this wouldn't make it suitable for the very young. What can we offer in return? We are friendly, good fun and we don't worry about the house being spick and span- as long as the kids are happy. Theres sky tv, internet and always biccies in the cupboard. We want our babysitter to feel at home and if they want to bring a friend with them then its not a problem as long as they like kids too. Our last babysitter was a Uni student and got a job in England over the summer. She is a friend now. We miss her! She may want her old job back when she comes back (at the end of Aug) but with her exams and trips away there is enough work for 2 babysitters. Pay is £8 per hour cash.
