We are a friendly professional family living in Central London with a sweet natured two year old boy and a baby on the way in July. We are looking for a mother’s help to join our family and help look after the children and housework.

Experience looking after young children is desirable - but we also consider that an enthusiastic and responsible attitude, a genuine interest in children and a willingness to learn and participate can be as important. We are looking for someone who is interested in being a friend and part of the family. We would like you to speak English well but it doesn’t have to be perfect if you will make an effort to learn.

For the first few months of work I will be at home on maternity leave and would like you to help me look after my 2 year old son and with housework. During this period, I can provide training in terms of looking after the children, but you will not be alone with the baby.

Towards the end of the year I will be going back to work and both children will be attending nursery very close by. At this stage I am looking for someone who can drop off and pick up the children in the afternoon, give them supper, help keep the house clean, do the laundry etc, as well as helping out on some Saturday mornings. Either my husband or I will be at home on some afternoons during the week. We also require babysitting twice a week.

I anticipate that in total you will be working approximately 30-35 hours per week and that this will be from 9-10am and 2.30-7pm on weekdays and until 1pm on Saturday. If there is a course you would like to attend we are prepared to negotiate your hours.

We will pay you £130 p/w, but this is negotiable depending on your experience. You will have your own room with a TV and use of your own bathroom. We live in a split level 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment in an old Georgian building in Zone 1, with an open plan living space. We live in a very central, pleasant area, 20 mins walk and 5 mins on the tube to the centre (Oxford Circus), with parks and shops nearby and only 2 mins walk to the tube from our apartment. You will also have the opportunity of coming to our home in the country if you want to.

We are looking for someone ideally to start in June but we can consider start dates up to August.
